LAS VEGAS motor speedway---

Alright guys we are heading to LAS VEGAS motor speedway for the 1st stop of the annual NASCAR West coast swing at the start of each season.Vegas also got a 2nd date this season and will be kicking off the Championship run in September for the 1st time...This year will be a triple header weekend, with the Truck series racing on Friday Night 8pm on FS1, then Saturday on FS1 at 3:30pm and ending the weekend with the big Cup race airing on FOX at 3pm..All times are EST..

Las Vegas motor speedway is a 1.5 mile asphalt oval with variable banking in all 4 turns of 12-20 degrees with banking on the front and back stretches measuring at 9 degrees flat...Truex won this event last season as this was the only Vegas race last season...

The big question regarding this week is how much stock do we all put into how GREAT the Fords looked at Atlanta, and how bad the new Chevy looked..this track is not rough and old like Atlanta is and not sure if it will even matter..These are the type questions that we have every season and why early betting can be very risky and tricky to start off every new racing season...

As always everybody's opinions, thoughts, and picks are always welcomed and encouraged...Always helps to have a lot more than 1 opinion and we have good nascar posters here...Season has started with 2 good weekends so hopefully we can make it a trifecta to start the season off!!!

How the hell do we know if Ford are also good there (should be fine I'd guess) but more importantly, are Chevy and Hendrick way behind to start the year?


Of course would just jump on Larson early here if Chevy was known to be fine. But going to have to wait I guess. Although practice in Atlanta didn't really reveal what was going to happen in the race for me.

Will take him in Xfinity and have another shot at Gragson in Trucks. He came home like a steam train on that last re-start. Anyone who can pass 9 trucks in 2 laps when he needs to is worth watching I think.

no chance of rain this week since were are in the desert, but Vegas is having a cold front move in and the temp wont be getting out of the mid 50's...a cold ass race for vegas

Odds still havent moved much at all, and after watching Fords completely dominate the entire race and the new Chevy Camaro look terrible in its down force debut, a lot of bettors may just need to see more track time...i know i am...how much of that was just a 1 off on a old racetrack and how much maybe a really big problem going forward on down force tracks for the Camaro...Maybe a little bit of both

Penske always is so strong at Vegas, I'm still thinking about Blaney and Logano early based off opening numbers, but havent pulled the trigger...

Yeah, plus you can increase the odds by using reward points. I took Logano from +1200 to +1300 for a buck worth of points.

Problem is, if you win too much at any Aussie book they limit you and take away all the perks.

So it's not all wonderful. 5D better overall if I had to choose one.

Not sure you should be with 5D having him at -200 again anyway. He isnt that sure. Truck teams too close on equipment quality this year.

reason behind this was just the odds were too good for me to pass up. has finished 6th and 7th in his 2 races here and now hes with the team with the best results last few years.
