Lets look at the Manufacturer betting:

    Chevy +200
    Ford +250
    Toyota +350
    Dodge +1200

Why is Chevy the Favorite with JJ and J. Gordon the only Chevys even close to the top Drivers in todays event at +700 ???

Note: Jimmie Johnson has the best average finish at Atlanta Motor Super Speedway at 4.8

I like JJ this week. Picked him at -130 to finish under 8.5. Also have him, Jeff Gordon, Greg Biffle, and the default - Kyle Busch - To win. Hopefully the tire issue wont be a disaster like last year.

    I also have T Stewart 14.5(Under) at -115 and Reutiman 17.5(0ver) +100

Martin, Montoya, Johnson, Harvick, Stewart, Newman, Burton, Gordon & Dale Jr top 20 starting positions gives the edge to Chevrolet re the odds above, IMO. I don't think we should ignore Martin today. Fast track, long green runs and he has the pole. He is in great equipment so I'll have to throw him in somewhere to try and win a buck. I think Harvick is a decent try also. His 1st win was here in the Cup after Dale Sr was killed and he was strong yesterday in the truck race.

        Enjoy the racing, Friends.

I agree, I have Martin (-125) over Kurt Busch. Since there are so many players in this race that have a chance, I am sticking with one winner. Who else, Kyle +525... This fool won the truck race yesterday after a restart with 6 to go. He didnt have 2nd or 3rd gear. Playing so light today, may post a few more match-ups here shortly though.

You are very fortunate to get JJ at -130 there. You should be good there. Top 5 odds right now are 4-6

Did anyone bet against Truex and his 'resolved' kidney stones or did I throw away some money?

                          C Mears (+120) vs Truex
                          M Waltrip (100) vs R Sorenson
Kurt Busch (100) vs D Hamlin
                          J McMurray (+120) vs D Hamlin
                          S Hornish (-120) vs A Almirola
                          G Biffle (+105) vs C Edwards

Also threw some fan money on Dale Jr to win (LOL). If he cant get it going in Atlanta it's going to be a long season for him.

                          Good Luck ALL !!!

Man Nascar has taking a hit with fans and bad economy. I think the popularity has also slipped somewhat and betting way down. One of problems is their are no stars in nascar anymore.

They need a big star that is marketable and dominant,

JJ is right about the fans base. The stands at Atlanta are empty. I remember being there when the place was packed.

Kyle Bush is not the answer, most of these nascar guys are just too boring. I see the sport gradually on the decline.
