Looked like they were back to wide open style from 2011 when books had their totals set at 7 or 7.5 many games

Wonder if that style will result in big totals against the same teams it did in 2011. Or if they have changed too much to bother looking at that.

Might be an angle to follow for the first month at least.

i don't know the details on the goalie equip change but watching Kane's goal on Holtby last nite it sure seemed like Kaner had a whole lot of open space to shoot at around Holtby, more than in the past few years. I'm liking overs right now too.

Ok, but I mostly just look at odds and season win/loss for/against home/away stats. And then guess.

Liked that one because both teams scored 3+ last game, indicating they 'might' have good strategy for the new rules. Last year Jets were good for overs at home to me and opening home game of season that is sold out early should have the players revved up.

No reference to injuries or goalies or anything. So take it for what it's worth. ;-)

Both scored 4 in their home openers Thursday. Don't care that they also held opponents to 1. I don't know enough to get fancy so am just following the simple angle that teams who 'get' the changes best and earliest should score more than they otherwise would for a little while. So am only looking at offense for a few days.

Hopefully you guys will quickly pick up which goalies and Ds 'get' the changes best and earliest and will chime in and help me out when I suggest betting against them. ;-)
