alright guys were off to POCONO in the mountains of Pa for a great race at "The Tricky Triangle"... sadly we will have to suffer through TNT broadcast now, and even more commericals than Fox, but if u remember last year the summer was an amazing 3 months so ive learned to love and hate them...

ALL 3 nascar series will be racing this weekend, and all 3 will be at different racetracks, with 2 night races in the lower series......The Truck series will be racing Friday night from Texas motor speedway....The Nationwide series will be racing this weekend too, but they will be running IOWA on Saturday Night, and CUP will be the usual Sunday afternoon time for their race..

POCONO is a 2.5 mile totally unique flat tri-oval super-speedway....there isn't much banking at all on this track with only 14 degrees in turn #1, 8 degrees in turn #2, and only 6 degrees off turn #3 in the tunnel turn...

As always all the regulars opinions and leans are always appreciated in my thread...its why we are the best there is...i've already started watching previous races and flipping through my pocono driver notebooks and my track notebook...

GOODLUCK to everybody this week and hope we all continue the amazing run we have been having so far this season...usually have to wait til about this time in the summer to really get going strong, but not this season weve been strong the whole way through so far...LETS KEEP IT GOING!!!!!

I love pocano remember having Gordon win last yr in a rain affected race hoping for a full race this yr .i usually find this race hard to cap but it's gonna be fun trying

ok as mikes taking a well earned break , and as we all tail mike , lets post our own thoughts and see if our leader agrees when he returns

I like the Hendrick cars this week not sure which ones yet , think there engines could be surpreme looked at the weather looking good so hopefully no shortened races etc , drivers to avoid which I've been saying for a few weeks now bad brad think he may even struggle to make chase .

I think Kurt and Montoya are worth taking a small shot at if they are big odds again. Both have been serious win contenders running top 5 a lot of the time for the last 3 or 4 races and are good enough to be there to grab a win if luck goes their way. Both qualify and finish better than career average here.

I said to Mike early last week that Denny looks ready to win mind and car wise to me. He also performs better than his personal average at Pocono, and in particular is the undisputed track champion for single lap speed with an amazing avg start position of 5.6 after 14 races.

Kahne, Martin, JJ, Newman and Kurt are the only other drivers under double Denny's avg grid spot.


I might be just finding reasons to talk myself into following the same guys that all lost for me late last week. But I don't see anyone else jumping out at me yet.

Maybe take a Hendrick car to win as a cover bet if odds are good enough.

to a crew chief how much is 25k to us that's a fair chuck of cash but to him maybe not so much
