Alright guys were off to Chase Race #6 @ the paperclip of Martinsville....Both the CUP series and the trucks are back in action this weekend...the nationwide series is OFF for the last time this weekend and will return Nov 2 at Texas...

Martinsville is a 0.586 mile short track Oval...banking is 12 degrees in all the turns and 0 on the straights...The front and backstretch both measure out at only 800 feet each

I personally love racing at Martinsville, where pretty much anything can happen and there will be beating and banging all day long....not many races left so this is probably the biggest wildcard just from a track standpoint left in the chase for the championship

As always all the regulars comments/opinions are always welcome on my thread and greatly appreciated all the info all u guys bring to this thread...main reason we have just been crushing it this whole season so thanks...ive already started watching last few years of races from here and slipping through my driver notebooks for martinsville

PRACTICES: FRIDAY @ noon (speed), SATURDAY @9:30am and noon (speed)

QUALIFYING: FRIDAY @ 3:30 (speed)

RACE: SUNDAY @ 1pm on ESPN

i have several races to watch today before i get to watch this years Spring race....ive watched them b4 spring race this year already, but im still scanning them all again and reading the notes i took to get ready for this years spring race...its been a while since then

past races here are prime reason finishing stats in nascar are useless...avg finish. position, ect

yes I remember that one well. &^$$ing Reutimann being a moron and staying out on the track.

It's the worst when bums who aren't even trying to win screw the whole race up.

Re-reading the spring thread makes me wonder what happened to JackalLion. His last post was in June and he hasn't logged on in about a month.

The local TV station puts together a 1 hour replay of the race that covers things really well. Could live with watching a few of those but 5 full races would feel way too much like hard work for me. Glad you do it for us
