#73My bad, I just assumed game 2 was in bris. Game 1 was a nsw home game, even though it was played in melb. So it normally goes game 1 home, game 2 away, and game 3 home.
Nsw ML for sure! There's no way the series doesn't go to a decider!Comment -

#74Agree with your changes kingsr. I'd also consider getting rid of Carney, he crumbled under the big lights and made some really major blunders. I'm not a fan of Soward, so I'd consider putting Hayne in at no. 6.
I'm not sold on NSW ML yet, the "NRL wants a game 3" line comes out every year, of course they want a game 3 but QLD also want to beat NSW badly and will give 100%. They wrapped it up in game 2 in 2009 and 2010 and I can see them doing the same thing again here. Scary thing is that QLD actually didn't play up to their potential in game 1.
Should be a cracker of a game, I'll be on both teams to win by <13 again for sure.Comment -

#75Carney had a shocker but they will need to stick with the same players for game 2, at least the run on side must stay the same. Was nothing more than nerves for carney, he will be better with experience. The nsw run on side, I personally thought were fantastic. It's their bench that let them down.
Nsw will win game 2 with this roster, as they did last year with a weaker roster. The passion and drive and talent is there. Also being in nsw, they'll have 90,000 screaming blues fans cheering them on.
Game 3 I'll more than likely be on qld to take out the series.
I'll wait for teams selection to make final decision. Hoping they drop creagh, and replace him with watmough or woods. And maybe bring in hinchcliffe for buhrer. 1-12 either way sounds like a good bet.Comment -

#76I'm sure they will stick with Carney, but if I was a selector I wouldn't :P I've watched him play for Cronulla in 5-6 games, not that impressed, Cronulla actually have a very one dimensional attack, with not a lot of creativity - Bukuya being a notable exception. It's a lot of ABC style footy, pass it one out to a forward on the run close to the line. It works well against teams with poor defenses, and because their own defense has been so solid it has worked well this year.
Origin is different however and you need playmakers with an X-factor, Hayne has it and I just don't think Carney does.
Overall the NSW side is OK, but QLD matches them well in the forwards and kills them in the halves, so I can't back them for game 2.Comment -

#77Coach Benny! Unfortunately we are thin in the halves department.
Parra tried hayne at 5/8 and it failed. He likes to roam around which is what he did in game 1 even though he was stationed on the wing.Comment -
