The World Wrestling Federation recently held their 8th pay-per-view of the year in the form of The Great American Bash. The event whose origins date back to the World Championship of Wrestling( WCW), a rival then later acquired by the wwf/wwe was a lackluster event this time. Once famous for the battles involving the United States Championship and the world heavy weight championship, the event has lost most of it's charm. Even last year there was a buzz regarding the event..but this year it was simply worthless...No Randy Orton...no Undertaker and no Rick Flair...also the Big Show and Rey Mysterio didn't compete..neither did the great Khali and to make matters worse the Boss Vince Mcmohan was absent. The matches didn't have any quality...Matt Hardy dropping the title to a novice like Shelton Benjamin and Batista taking on C.M.punk couldn't invoke much interest. Yeah John Cena and Jbl and Triple H versus Edge was a good watch...but not what you expect at a major PPV...even the promos cut prior to the event wasn't worth creating a hype. Shawn Michaels taking on Chris Jericho was modest at the best. It's high time that wwe again re-considers it's strategy for PPV'S or else TNA (Total non-stop action) another rival run by former WWE star Jeff Jarret might just beat wwe in the Ratings.......ECW championship...was any one concerned by the way???...Put in your comments as to what you think regarding the show...
