I've been ice cold picking the horses lately, but will still attack these races Saturday.

In the Blue Grass, I don't like First Samarai despite him being a speed horse and that always doing well at Keeneland. I'm leaning toward longshot Little Cliff and playing him with Bluegrass Cat. Little Cliff will likely be 10-1 or more here with Bluegrass Cat the likely favorite. Little Cliff finished behind Bluegrass in two races at Tampa Bay Downs, but wasn't disgraced in either race, finishing 4th both times.

The way my luck is going, that should mean an easy win for Bluegrass Cat. Last week I played Andromada's Hero at Oaklawn with Buzzards Bay. BB draws off and wins by 6 and AHero runs last.

In the Arkansas Derby, Lawyer Ron looks tough to beat but I'll try anyway in this huge 14-horse field. Private Vow was rank down the backstretch in the Rebel, faded in the stretch and finished 7th behind Lawyer Ron and a couple others in here. The horse was fighting the jockey and burned himself out. While there's no guarantee he won't do that again, I think he's got a chance to rebound if he behaves. I do expect him to go early and perhaps even be on the lead.

Very small plays on these simply because the races are on TV and I can't not bet them.
