Dortmund Sparkassen Tournament, Round 3
Am hoping to do a lot better with this tournament than last. I promis
van Wely -116
Mamedyarov - Gustafsson Draw -102
Ivanchuk - Nepomniatchti Draw +115
These lines are phucking gifts.
van Wely - Leko -116
The most likely result of this game is a draw, but if anyone's going to win, it's probably van Wely. So far, after 2 rounds, black has not won a game. Van Wely is 0.5/2 so far, with a loss as black, so I am hoping he goes for a win with white. Leko is the type of player who is always happy to draw with black. Of course van Wely could phuck up somehow, but at only -116, I am willing to take the chance.
Mamedyarov-Gustafsson Draw -102
Mamedyarov is the better player on paper, but Gustafsson is having a good tournament, drawing former world champion Kramnik and beating Naiditsch. Meanwhile, Mamedyarov has drawn both his games. At only -102, I'll bet the draw no matter who the players are! Count on Gustafsson to hold on here with black.
Ivanchuk - Nepomniatchti Draw +115
Like I said above, I'll take any draw at -102. Well, at +115, this is a bargain. True, Ivanchuk usually plays pretty decisive games, and will go for the win, but Nepomniatchti has held his own so far.
