Personally speaking the information I have gained from this thread will be of great value to me.

matchbook are covering some australian sports now. no liquidity but hopefully catches on, as even though new owner has increased commissions they are still way below betfair.

WTF is bet 24/7. never heard of them. well and truly off my radar.
Pinny have had spreads up for AFL for the last 24 hours at least. They went up around the same time as spreads did for Sportingbet. They have been up on centrebet since Tuesday morning. I was able to lock Melb in at -33.5. They are now at 36.5.
Being in australia, you can get access to almost every book, so why not have a whole heap of accounts. gotta shop around. i use centrebet for PYOL and totals, centrebet/sportingbet for horses and shop around on everything else.

I never heard of bet 24/7 until I got customer survey from Betfair. Where they asked what other places you bet at and bet 24/7 was listed.

certainly agree that it's worth having as many accounts as you can justify
the issue with the line (spread) markets was at Betfair who for some peculiar reason haven't been putting them up until match day morning this season which imho is absurdly late .. they could well go up on Thursday arvo and if necessary they could open fresh ones if the market moves enough
Bet247 has been around for a while - effectively the same as SportsAlive but with better bonus offers - good book and take a reasonable bet - so far none of this absurd limiting as I've experienced at Sportingbet, Centrebet, Sportsbet and IAS
btw I found those PYOLs at Centrebet had extremely low limits and I think the juice on them may be higher than the standard line odds ?

yeah, i only do PYOL occasionally when I just can't justify a certain line. I agree, some of the point buying seems a bit out.
I dont really know the value of a point in AFL, so I'm not really sure...
spread markets at betfair is shit, because they usually only put out one line. it invariably moves and you either gotta suck up the juice or a bad line.
For those of you that use Pinnacle, does it cost money to make withdrawals?

My mistake. I read the original post as books Aussies use.
You can't bet live on the net in Oz with Oz books, hence my post about pinnacle/365.

Interesting, I've never seen an aus book beat pinnacle money lines on AFL (which is all I can comment on), but aus books are obviously way way ahead for exotics.

Just looking at my prices comparison service right now I see several examples, notably TAB has Port Adelaide at 3.00 whilst Pinnacle has them 2.91
And many more on the lines (spreads) especially Betstar's and Readbet's even money lines now up beating Pinnacle on all games in AFL, NRL and S15

Yep I'm with Sportsbet, Centrebet and Pinnacle and can confirm that the Aussie books consistenly have better lines on AFL and NRL.

Hareeba,
What sort of limiting have you experienced with Centrebet?

don't recall the specifics after maybe 3 years since I gave up on them after probably 6 or so years of winning consistently, mainly on tennis where they did post good odds and let me on for decent stakes
had a little success there on racing too and they barred me from their best of best or whatever they call it product altogether
it just got the stage that it was a waste of time and effort trying to get bets on .. from memory it was as bad as $20 or so in the end

I can understand why they wouldn't limit such a player as it is a well recognised mug's game to be taking such large multis ... but I have enormous difficulty understanding these quys betting $2000 on sports with Lux and not being limited ... unless they are chronic losers
