I watched a good chunk of this game and seriously the Storm played pathetically - they could hardly complete a set of six in the 1st half and were no better in the 2nd. For a top class team to play THAT bad is might suspicious. Unfortunately when most of the regulars are on the same side, as with the Storm tonight and Dragons last week, it usually ends up in a blood-bath. Theory - NRL are trying to beat the AFL when it comes to views, what better way to keep the people watching by having your very own shitty team that sits bottom of the table beat a premiership winning team to keep the hope of getting a prem alive? Sharks were heavy favs to be wooden spoon and they beat the title holders on a Monday night. Cowboys were also heavy wooden spoon contenders and they beat a team that's won a number of prems, on a Monday night.

Yea I've thought of that, but to me the match fixing angle is much more compelling and it's been proven that league players are all over it at the moment. Imagine, say a $5,000 bet on Sharks to win 13+? Easy to do that stuff under the raider through multiple local accounts, and *BOOM* there'd be $20k payday for you, more pay per week than even the superstars of league make. What better time to do it than when you think money will flood into the books on a favourite - the books still make money through juice and they don't get too upset at the losses.
Next Monday night it's Storm vs Bulldogs, this time Storm at home. You can be sure it'll be a different team showing up, and look on the bright side - given tonight we might get a much better line on the Storm. If I can get a money-line anywhere near $1.50 I'll be pounding itComment -
yea, just like last week with the dragons losing to the sharks, they came out at 1.70 vs the warriors, jumped aboard that. I'd say storm/dogs will be paying even money next week, dogs are 3-0.
I like storm when they play at home, they still try give something back to the crowd after last years scandal.
This week has some Good match ups, can't wait for tigers Vs roosters again, last was was one of the best games I've seen. I'll be heading to the warriors/sharks game in Taupo, the only thing that scares me about that game (besides the warriors form) is that its the sharks first "home" game overseas and the fix could be on to try get that's sharks fans traveling over for the rest.

You guys just have to realise that no one is ever a $5 underdog in the NRL. The salary cap is in place to level out the competition and for the most part it seems to be doing its job. As much as everyone loves the Dragons and the Storm if they don't show up on any given day they will lose to any side that has come to play.Comment -

I think betting on 5 dollar or more underdogs on the nrl recently has reaped a reward. Both cases there was rain and so should immediately make the fav being unable to cover the start a possibility.

That is actually pretty risk IMO. Rebel is a bit unpredictable and Bulls is a wounded animal. Canes aren't playing great rugby at the moment, so becareful!
Tahs and Reds ML would be a better parlay.
Tahs(-4.5) would be the play of the week.

Waratahs did loose to the cheetahs afew weeks back, chiefs have looked pretty shit all season, last 2 games were pissing down and chiefs just dont mix with the rain, they will be looking to stretch the legs out, I wouldn't go too large on the tahs, just my opinion
Is the warriors coach Ivan cleary the worst coach out there? First off he buys Christian inu for 300k (lol wtf) then the first game of the season vs inus old club he Dosent even name him on the team, puts an under 20s debut player (fish) in (costs 2 tries due to pressure) instead of having faith in fish and playing him the following week he benches him and shits all over his confidence (even more). Plays 2 more matches with the same squad and gets embarrassed. Week 4 comes around and he comes to the conclusion of benching players that are not performing (best move a coach can do IMO, blues are doing it and it's making them make this most of their time on the field) but... Ivan decides to bench about 4 players of key roles (full back, winger etc) and put under 20's debut players in lol
I'll be going to the Taupo match vs the sharks, silly thing is I'll most probly be backing the warriors

Really wish my book had the 4.5 line. Highlanders have just come off a bye so they will be recoverd. Colin slade also makes his debut for the highlanders (imo he's in contention for replacement for Dan Carter for the worldcup).
