Great job kingsr! I also had Geelong but only for a bit. I heard Ross Lyon say last week that the team doesn't have any form right now and it's a major issue so I figured if a coach was willing to say that, I may as well put a bit on Geelong.

Well I went 1-1 there but I made a sick degenerate 2H bet on Richmond +16.5 which paid off and put me up for the match. Knew that one was going to be close. Sticking with the fade the Saints theory thanks to Ross Lyon until they start to smarten up.

For Saturdays games I like Nth Melb +37.5, massive game for them and with Petrie, Goldstein and Grima back they will keep it close, pies will win but not by this many, also Pt Adelaide -15.5, West Coast on a short week after playing in hot conditions last Sunday and generally don't travel well, Carlton should win easily and Geelong will keep it close in Perth.

ipod, collingwood might win by 10 goals or more, its really hard to say, I just think NM have made changes since last week and they want to make a statement so will give it everything, which is why I see value in a 40 point start

maroona how come the conditions effect WC but not NM? petrie has been out so long i wonder if he will be near the player he was 2 seasons ago. i reckon collingwood roll.

like GC + the points. alot of their youngsters are high quality and i think a few of them will have seasons like scully and trengrove did at melbourne last season where they have a major impact in their first season. Carlton have a great midfield but there forward line and defence is pretty c grade.

I like Geelong against Fremantle, still alot of class, whereasfremantle did not show much versus brisbane.

Interesting thread. Might have to keep an eye on this one. I've got a mate who seems to have incredible form (I reckon it's luck) on the AFL and finished +23 units last season. I might post some of his selections here if I get them in time.

I think AFL is a very good sport for sharps because on a global scale, its a very small market. Aus books often through up some really weird prices over the course of a season.

I just wish we had more games each season.

AFL is without doubt the best sport to bet on. You can rely on consistent effort (albeit not consistent form) and there's no fixing. The level of skill and amount of scoring mean that over the course of a game a lot of things get ironed out and if you have a good read on a team they usually win or cover your spread.

AFL is also the money for doing ML parlays, just as long as you stay away from St Kilda
