Anyone heard any news on this? Just a mate of mine told me today that there's been some talk about this. Players involved in fixing games this season...said they won't do or reveal anything until the grand final is over

If this turns out to be true then the NRL is done.

NRL there is match fixing for sure.. But it's quite hard because it requires more than one player to be involved from a team for it to be successful..

Does anyone here seriously think that Ryan Tandy is innocent?
Looks look at the facts here, 95% of the bets on the game were on the first score to be a penalty goal and the guy gives away two completely unnecessary penalties close to the sticks in the first couple of minutes...
Wish they would hurry up with the investigation and ban this fool.

Until they increase the salary cap a lot, or get rid of it completely, you can only expect it to happen on a more common basis.
I'd be more concerned with officals being involved with match fixing. Just got to wonder whats going on when you see decisions like that try Bill Harrigan awarded to Mark Gasnier a few weeks ago. Everyone knew it was a blatant knock on, yet he still awarded a try, and decisions like this have been happening in the NRL all season. Seems to get swept under the carpet too easily by just admiting the next day it was a "mistake", and if theres a lot of heat in the press they are "sacked", have a week off, and back a week later with the job again.
