Tennis bettors, who do you guys like in the opening round. I haven't finalized anything yet, but these are my leans. I'll be parlaying the favorites to get prices above +100/$2.00:
The Dogs:
Pavel +361 (Would be small if I play, Moya despite the final last week, not worthy of this chalk, imho)
Guccione +747 (Ljub is a choker on the big stage, CG was impressive in taking out JCF last week)
Mello +303 (Longshot again, but Muller is about as inconsistent as they come)
Youzhny +105 (more aggressive player, matches up well against Malisse)
Garcia-Lopez +505 (depending on heat conditions, roof/no roof, etc. Always worth fading the consistently unfit Dent when the situation is right and GGL is decent enough player to overcome TD's S&V game)
Behrend +720 (Feli's serve should get him past TB easily, but he is such a headcase and quite possibly has one of the worst BHs I've ever seen, so worth a small shot at these odds)
Hanescu +320 (much closer than odds indicate. The weasel is pretty decent at the GS's, but VH's big serve could cause him some probs. Basic rule of thumb with me is I fade nobody more than Coria and I usually come out ahead, so if he makes it past, I'll fade him until he bows out)
The Faves
Monaco -160 (battle of the scrubs, I'll take JM over that waste Lisnard)
Haas -200 (Not sure of RG's fitness at this point and TH has been in terrific form coming into the AO)
Ferrer -112 (Serra great coming in, but DF at a pickem price is something I'll bite at, great match last year in rd1 against Bandy and always a consistent fighter)
Wawrinka -665 (He's playing Montanes, nuff said)
Mirnyi -308 (I'll rely on Max to win in 3 TBs, lol
)
O. Rochus -418 (too solid from the baseline for Llodra)
Djovokic -188 (one of my faves, but will he have enough stamina to make it through. Goldstein can be solid, but Nole is a class above)
