Bulldogs haven't covered a spread in so long I rode them all season and got off the week before they started to slump.

They are covering tonight I can feel it.

Couldn't join the thread last night but was on the Pies for 8x - unfortunately 4x was on the 1-39 margin.

Despite that I like the 1-39 margin for St Kilda tonight, gives the Bulldogs an extra 10 points to lose by and pays $2.20-$2.25 at the moment. Also like the panthers under - so with you on that Peter. I think the game stays close and keep the defensive intensity up the whole game.

Plays today:
5 Units: St Kilda 1-39 @ $2.20
2 Units: Penrith +5 @ $1.92
2 Units: Penrith/Roosters under 43 points @ $1.90 - UPDATE: CANCELLED

Usually use Pinny so get better odds than this but having trouble accessing it OS so stuck with bloody sportsbet.

Updated to add: cancelled the Panthers game, I think this game is too unpredictable to make a call - only keeping the play on the under.

Bulldogs game is going to be so interesting I am real pissed off I can;'t watch it.

Bulldogs are sucking, but Saints don't blow teams out often.

Bulldogs barely beat the Swans , Saint Kilda got past by the Cats by a whisker.

Even Bulldogs are down by 40 they still might cover which I like the chances of it happening.

One more thing reason I am playing so big is I am on a streak and I want to ride the streak. Also I think Penrith/Roosters is an under tonight

I like both Panthers +6 and the under as well. But probably won't be betting them.

Hopefully, the line was +24.5 at tab and juiced to $2.10, if Barry Hall gets about 6 we will cover.

Bulldogs can run through the middle and Saint's pressure isn't like the Magpies.

Line keeps going up at Sportsbet, now at 29.5, I'm thinking the money is on the Saints covering the points - makes me even more confident in backing them for a narrow win - i.e. 1-39

teams with the break have a pretty strong record and i think the way collingwood came out reminded everyone of that, me included.

tend to agree with cheetahponti that saints 1-39 looks more attractive.

I'm going to be a dissenting voice

I reckon that the Dogs played their Grand Final last week for Johnson; and the Saints are going to come out and absolutely pump them tonight. I have a few units on St Kilda at +40, because I think they will blow them away. Particularly if the mail is right, and Griffen is out, I could be in for a big night. I also have some on the Saints to score first, which is a bit of a lottery, but I just think - like last night with the Pies - that the 'Aints are going to come out firing with the memory of last years GF in the back of the mind.

I won't be disappointed if I don't get up due to a hedge bet, so BOL everyone!

Hedge I assume that's a good thing. For low scoring but if Bulldogs start bad could be very bad for them.

Yeah Hedge - I saw the rain as well and it looked to me like my money was falling from the sky and out of my hands =)

We'll see; but I still think that the high risk by foot game of the Dogs won't serve them well in the wet; the Demons ran them close earlier in the year in the wet, and I think the Saints are going to own them tonight.
