i'm staying away from the NRL tonight.

Sorry GnP, but I have to disagree because I think Carlton will win and cover tonight. North Melbourne can scrap against the mediocre sides, but have got belted by all the top 5-6 sides (Freo by 62, Bulldogs by 70, Collingwood by 66, St Kilda by 96). I consider Carlton one of the better sides.

Carlton have also beaten Port, WCE and Melbourne in the last four weeks easily, who i consider to be around where North are. They had a hiccup against Hawthorn, but i put that down to the Carlton not really turning up (some shocking turnovers) and injuries (Johnson, white and judd getting injured during the 2nd quarter!).

I've talked myself into it. I'm going big on this one. Carlton -23.5.

- 6 points, which is the point spread the bookies have on offer at the moment.

it means the Eagles to win minus 6 points. i.e. they have to win by 7 or more for the bet to cash. if they win by 6, the bet is a push and you get your money back.

If you play a team -6 that means they have to win by 7 or more points if they win by 6 you get your money back and if they win by 5 or less or end up losing then you lose your money.

I was going to stay away from NRL and AFL this week due to the WC, but i just can't pass up the Titans line.

Manly are missing Matai, Lyon and Watmough whereas Titans get back Rogers. Those 3 losses for Manly is pretty big, so i'll take Titans -6.

i ended up taking -22.5, as the line had shifted to - 24.5 and wanted to keep it within 4 goals (although i expect it'll be more than that), so lets hope for a 23 point game so we both win!

i'm a crows supporter, so its even harder doing the form for them this year. i made a lot of money in the first few rounds going against them, but now the lines have worked themselves out.

after beating freo last week, i just don't know where adelaide are at. i dont really know where hawks are at either.

i'll have a close look tomorrow, but i think i'll look at the total for that game. i have a lean for the bombers getting close and i agree with you on sydney. i'm not as confident of you on that, but will be playing it.

Thanks man, I usually read the news about the teams off google, there own websites and the respective league sites and then I always get a good vibe based on the information I get.

I am currently studying IT degree majoring Network Design and Management, just want to finish it and go from there. Howabout you what do you do? I made a good $$$ lately and it is good not having to work at a young age and get money but work money feels so much better like i spend my winnings on anything..

With the hawthorn and adelaide game I am practically jumping from the - to + non stop I seriously could not put a dollar on that game. Don't ask how but as i was typing this Hawthorn is the play I still need to open an account at a book that accepts totals because Pinny doesn't.

I just put that but it actually means both teams are close to even money..

Swans are actually paying $2.05 and Port Adelaide are paying about $1.85.

Lets say I put 10 units on the Rabbitohs last week which I went huge, I would put 1 uni on the cowboys. I think they will cover, its the whole Thurston isn't there thing that has that line where it is. But last time they were Thurstonless they beat the Roosters.

Raiders have been covering on the road this season and not covering at home. Cowboys are the worst team in the whole comp ATS. Once covering the +10.5 or what ever it was against the Roosters and the other I don't remember.

I think they can keep it close, just don't put to much on it. I probably throw 100 on it.

Tahu quit NSW and they called Joel Monaghan up, helps Cowboys cause. I think Bowen is going to off tonight.
