Well, I know the AFL had some rules made the league quite different from the NFL. Since I imagine many of you rely on numbers, I was asking about substantive rule changes, eprhaps to make the league more exciting or just different, that might affect traditional numbers and methods, such as when college basketball added the three point line.

I think I misunderstood your question. I don't think this year's AFL will have any rules different from the last season of AFL. The differences between NFL and AFL are enough to start a thread, which I will do.

Yeah, that was my question. If the prior AFL failed, do they bring it back in the same form or do they change some rules to try to make it a better product, like they did in the NHL. And if so, what impact does it have on predicting sides and totals? For instance, when the NFL started throwing flags for DB's basically just touching receivers beyond 5 yards, has therer been more scoreing?

In any case, I guess we can assume no rule changes of any significance until further notice. If I hear of something, I'll post it.

Do they televise Arena games? I've been to a few Louisville Fire games years ago, but never gambled on it. Seemed too chaotic, with constant scoring. I guess if you took the time to do some proper research, you could make a few bucks.
