Why do books offer rebates to bettors on this?
I love to play the ponies and do pretty good( some days)


I have a couple of OTB around my area and love to go there to hang out with some buds and drink some.

From a financial aspect wagering about 2k a week with rebates will get me 140.00 to 200.00 depending on the sites.


I love to get out of the house and go to the OTB but knowing I am losing out on 7000 gives me less incentive.

Probably because they do not offer full odds. I just quit betwwts because they payoffs are ridiculously low. I bet harness tracks and they only offer 100-1 odds on pic 3s and pic 4s. I almost wonder if they make the bets for you and then if the win is more than they max amount they just keep the difference as their profit. Off to pinnacle now to try that book. They offer 7% which means last week I would have gotten a $280 rebate while betwwts just gave me $115 which is another ripoff. Why I stuck with that site is beyond me.

I too like going to the OTB and the track myself DM. basicly for some reasons you mentioned above really.
