The Iowa Barnstormers (4-4) return home this Saturday, July 24 for another action-packed night of indoor football in Des Moines to face a longtime IFL foe in the Green Bay Blizzard (4-5).
Coming off of a nail-biting loss to Frisco, the Barnstormers are looking to get back into the win column.
Iowa and Green Bay have matched up one previous time this season, where the Blizzard handed the Barnstormers their second loss of the season in a 48-44 shootout.
The Barnstormers come into the game with a 2-1 record at Wells Fargo Arena this year, where they hope to once again improve on their mark and secure a spot in the 2021 IFL Playoffs.
In the first game, wide receiver Carrington Thompson corralled two touchdowns, both coming in the first half. Finishing with 98 yards on five catches, the game was Thompson's best of the season.
Quarterback Daquan Neal added another touchdown to wideout Daylon Person to finish the game with three throws to the end zone and another score on a rush.
On the defensive side of the ball, Tony Jones lead the way with eight tackles in the game, while Christopher Biggurs ended with a sack and a pair of tackles for loss.
Saturday's game also serves as our annual 90's Night and Corgi Chase promotions. The night will be themed around 1990's sights and sounds as well as a halftime show where we race corgis.
