    Ryder Cup Sunday
We are too beind to win, lets see though how we fair in the singles. If we do bad we will be the mockery of the world.

The USA golf game has taken a huge hit this week.

IS the PGA tour really the best tour?

I don't follow golf that closely, but maybe Americans just suck in all world competitions: The latest two FIBA events for both mens and womens where he end up 3rd, the world baseball classic was a joke, etc.

    OR

We just stink at this format.

I think the US team can't perform under pressure, there is no team commodree.

I think this event should be postponed for the next couple of years to give the USA team the chance to learn how to play golf. Beating America in this is just like shooting fish in a barrel.

It would be interesting if any player outside of the US could ever manage to win a major. It's kind of hard to be too impressed when an individual game is manipulated to create a team event that can make the euros feel good about themselves. When Tiger starts to care, I'll start to care. Maybe if they handed out 10 million to the winners, the US would really play to win.

No thanks, isetcap, I don't want any of your grapes. They seem awfully sour.

Sour grapes make the best wine. Ask the French.

So why does the US do so poorly in the event? Are they too much of individual competitors that can't play as a team. That seems to be the case with Tiger, but is it true of most? Seems a bit like US basketball failure to win of late.

from what I read in golf digest about this event (as I don't follow it when it's on), I just don't know how fired up the Americans really get for this (especially Tiger Woods)...the other countries just seem to take it a lot more seriously than we do...
