    Lordkai35's All Betting Thread
    Hi guys!

With the end of NRL/AFL season many of us are probably bored to death and trying to follow other sports. I am sure i speak on behalf of many handicappers on this sub-forum when i say that betting on sports i don't really understand is like throwing darts at a board.

Some of you may be first time readers of my thread or have read some write ups in my other thread "Lordkai35's NRL/AFL Picks." My structure for posting tips/plays/bets will in most cases include a write up and what my prediction will be. Ill also try to find the best value/most likely to occur bets.

This thread was created to share my bets for all other events including other sports such as soccer (aleague), horse racing, novelty bets etc. Unfortunately i don't wish to post separate threads in all the different sporting sections as most picks here will be focused on Australian/New Zealand events and to my understanding the More Sports section is where most of us hang out.

I hope you can make some profit of this thread or learn a few things about the different sports/events

    Next Socceroos coach:

Football Federation Australia is set to reject the lure of a big-name foreigner and appoint an Australian as the new Socceroos coach, with Melbourne Victory boss Ange Postecoglou emerging as the favourite to lead the nation to next year's World Cup in Brazil. It is understood the FFA hopes to replace the sacked Holger Osieck with a proven local coach to restore national pride in the Socceroos at the World Cup.
The other possible candidates are tony popo from WSW or frank farina from Sydney FC. However, tony popo does not have the time to coach Australian team as well as a club in its second season in the a league and will direct his energy to WSW especially since they are contenders. Sydney Fc is recovering from a poor season last year and frank farina, like tony popo, doesnt have the time to spread his efforts and focus. Victory is an established club with a large fanbase/club.
    Ange Postecoglou $1.60 Sportsbet

    ARIA Awards:

Flume (best male artist $1.40 Sportsbet/ best breakout artist $1.44 Sportsbet)
If your Australian you will have heard of Flume (artist or song) this year. His nearest competition is Matt Corby. Not much explanation but if you have a look at itunes sales and CD sales, it is pretty obvious who the winner here will be.

    Xfactor:

    Taylor Henderson $4 Sportsbet
Ive told everyone since day one Dami Im, but recently her performances have been on par with the others who have stepped up. the value here is TAYLOR HENDERSON $4. He is more likely to be a selling artist whilst dami just feels like she knows how to sing but won't be a hit. Final two will be taylor+dami and taylor at $4 is overs for a 50/50 shot. Also you have to consider who most Aussies want to win and would consider listening to after the show.

Dami will most likely win this at such a short favourite and her price justifies her chances. She has won over Australia and many people just watch her performances on utube etc. I feel this is just a value pick and at $4 for a 50/50 play i think is overs and should be played.

If anyone knows further info on any of my tips/picks please feel free to comment

Not much to comment on the Football Coach or the X Factor bet but with regards to the ARIA awards bet I'd say Flume looks good for male artist but I wouldn't write off The Reubens for breakthrough artist. They won JJJ unearthed 2012 award against Flume and while Flume has come a long since then $6 for The Reubens looks alright value for me.

          Since its asked

i'm currently 19, university student in Sydney, Australia.

I've followed NRL since i was probably 6 and AFL for the last 2 seasons so my knowledge is still a bit scratchy here. I love sports and all types of community/group events etc. and hence this translates to my knowledge of sports in general. My top sports i bet on are NRL/AFL/EPL/Aleague with soccer to a lesser extent.

I started betting at the local TAB when i was 15 ahah (got my mum to through $10 on the bulldogs for fun) and i just feel that when theres money involved in a game, it makes it so much more interesting to watch. Anyhow, i started to bet seriously this year. Since i am in university, i found that i didn't have enough time to work many hours but i still like making an income, so the next logical step was to translate my knowledge of sports into tips. Also some of my mates are well informed about different sports and they share their knowledge with me to help each other profit.

So thats my betting/life (brief) story. I hope anyone reading doesn't loss faith in me or credibility because of my age or inexperience. i can say i learn't a lot about betting this year.

PS: Do not let my display picture decrease my credibility haha
