I do fairly well at most other tracks with the proper amount of prep work, but not Saratoga! It seems like every race there are 5-6 horses going for the win and it's hardly ever the favorite. You can throw all logic out the window when playing this track. Does anyone else have trouble?

#3Like betting the Spa. I did well 1st half of the meet, and lost some last couple of weeks. Overall, The fact that so many longer shots seem to have a chance adds value to the meet.Comment -

#4I think the poly/synth tracks are the hardest to cap as a whole but everywhere is going to have some days where you're scratching your head .Saratoga is probably my 2nd favorite track to play next to Gulfstream .The best way to attack it is to forget about trying to be consistent by betting the logical ones and sniff out a bomb or 2 every couple days.Irad Ortiz and Wilmer Garcia are my two jocks I always give a long look to see if they have any chance.Comment -

#6The graveyard of favorites is running at about 38% winning chalk. If you had bet every chalk you would only be down about 3%. In dirt sprints the chalk is winning at 47%Comment -

#7I think the New York circuit in general is tougher to handicap than the California tracks. Part of this is the larger fields in the NY races. I still bet Aqueduct, Belmont, and Saratoga even though the track take-out for exotic wagers is outrageous in NY.Comment -

#8To me, I think it has to do with how familiar you are with the whole track, meaning the track itself, the trainers, the jockeys and the horses. That's just my take. GL and hope you will do better.Comment -

#12If you bet Dominguez every race you actually would be ahead for the meet.
Just yesterday he won 6 of the 11 races and with some nice prices in most.Comment -

#18I love Saratoga. I'm local so that may help too, but its such a nice track to go in person. The fields are usually big, and overall I do pretty well there.
