    Good reading books?
I want to take horse racing more seriously.
I live right next to Albuquerque Downs and I want to learn how to bet the ponies.

Does anybody know of any good reading books?
    Thanks in advance

Go To gamblersbookclub.com and click in Horse racing they have thousands of books.I have been playing the races for 30 years i have found know books out there that have helped me.I would start off With Richard Engs yellow book horse racing for dummies richard eng is a writer from vegas it gives you a little introduction to racing. For Entertainment pick up Beyer On Speed he tells you about the speed Figures and tells you some great stories itis a little dated now came out in 93.Also DRF Have a lot of basic stuff about handicapping check there website.

str's Q&A thread will teach you more than any book.

An excellent book in my opinion is Brohamer's Modern Pace Handicapping.

And there are very good articles online. Google 'Frandsen Pace Handicapping'.
