Where find information?

To make an informed bet I want to know a horse's history. What place they got, what their time was, the conditions of the field, who their jockey was, trainer, time of day, temperature outside.

Does anyone know where I can find this information? I can find detailed info about wins, but not track conditions. Are there any tracks that keep this information or do I have to build my own database by pulling information from wunderground?

equibase.com has a lot of that information. You can just pull up the entries on the card you want and start searching up all that above info.
