What is your most profitable mistake ever?
Today playing Charles town 3/24 race 5.

    My picks were: 6,9,10 so I wagered $5 on 6 win, $5 9 win, $5 10 win.

Or at least I thought I did.

4 won the race at 34-1

    So I thought I lost $15

    but I had actually bet $5 4 win, $5 9 win, $5 10 win

For a profit of around $120

Not huge money but usually mistakes cost me. You guys got any good ones?

i took a 1/2/7 exacta box once for a buck ($6) at northfield one night and upon returning to my seat (after the race had started of course) i realized the chick wrote it for a tri box. it came 7/1/distant 8 then 2. i wanted to wring her neck as the 1 was nice odds......then, the 8 starts blinking and they get him for driving over the 2's tire in the stretch, up comes the 2 completing the ~$300 trifecta. yea it was only for a buck ($150) but its one ill never forget. and neither will she cause i dont tip with 10's often at the otb.

Very cool.. although I don't get the tipping part... Why do you tip a teller for giving you the money that you won? They don't do anything but sit there and count.

Today on the 9th @ Aqueduct I meant to put in a $1 Tri

                    6/125/1258 for $9

I put it in 6/125/1257 by mistake

Resuts 617 paid $269 on a $1 bet. the 7 was 54-1. Though of this thread right away.

Although I've been on the other side of it. One time I was sure I put in a big super bet that hit and would have paid over $500 only to see that I put it in wrong.

i once was betting evangline. i bet 20 on the favorite 3 to win at 8/5.. he finsihed last. i then look down at my ticket and see i bet the 4. The win wins at 60 -1 --- 1200 bucks

i wish i would of messed up betting the 4 on my trifecta because i hit the 2 behind it but had my correct 3 the tried paid 7300
