Doubt they cared much about the first race at GP being it's Matz, the 11 post and the pedigree slanted towards distance on the turf. Last was a beaut at 9F with the final 3/8 of the race completed in 34.4 . Another 1/16 can only help. Races spaced 6 weeks apart and a long stretch to establish good position into the first turn Jockey switch back to Alan Garcia can't hurt either

Doing OK..Won $1,100-$1,200 so far this month but getting aggravated about the schedule.The contests are basically Santa Anita contests with a couple races from everywhere else.Don't like having to decide between the 7-5 favorite or the 8-5 2nd choice in the 5-6 horse field when there isn't 1 race from Aqueduct but 7 from SA.

SA R8 #3 Soul Saver

Like the even effort in the last against msw in a turf sprint as a primer to stretch out here at this level. Two back md 50k was a rail break and winner of that ran approximately 93 beyer. Think 2 turns at this md 30k is good placement for this horse. Realize they're dropping below the claim price 2 back but not concerned enough to not try him here

Mikemca i came up with the 12 also ....as i posted ...i didnt see the race where he lost to closed hatches two back....but as i also posted like you the 5 at 66-1 ....dont know if you watched the replay.....he was moving along the rail ..just about got into second ,,,and he was going out then shifted in ...ran into traffic, i think he would have gotten 3rd at least ....do you agree..........i had a 3.00 tri 12-5-9 4 3 11 and a 12 -9 3 4 11 -5 anyway look at the 4 last at santa antia he lost to the same horse horse the winner of the 7th lost too......fine assay

Fine Assay is a full sister to Sweet Assay who took her only start on the hillside with a 78 Beyer one month ago for the same trainer (drf closer look).
Also thought the horse had a nice foundation with even sprints in her first 2 races with solid works before and after her last race. Good trainer stats also.
