FOR A 5000C BUT HAD A DIFFERENT TRAINER , AND WON, NOW A MONTH LATER NEW TRAINER AGAIN IN STAKES RACE FROM A 5000C DID HE GET CLAIMED LAST OUT OR AT OAKLAWN JUST NEED A LITTLE BACKGROUND ON HIM ..Comment -

this is probably a useful horse when placed right and might make some beaten claimer conditions in a month or 2 when those remington park wins won't count against him.. just out for some exercise and possibly collect a small check for 4th or 5thComment -

yes for sure it can help them, i knew it was a long stretch just by how long it took when they made the turn, ,....but i think it can also hurt horses,,,the way they fan out and they are all looking for the gap.........there is no way they go that wide here,, first of all the track there is wide to begin with........its like a ...the road runner thrust, when they turn for home...lol so many horses..........and i think they take horse racing to a different level of seriuous , if that makes sense......the horse there all look like beast, and the money is nuts...you wont find a 20claimer there........, i really believe that every horse comes back from the previous race.....like they all got in trouble for maybe 3 straight races, they look horrible on paper, and im thinking thats because they had a series of bad trips, they all wait for the perfect journey......so you get a horse that is 30 to1 but should be 5 to1 .........sound right to you, like to hear your thought on that...Originally posted by jbexComment -

have a friend who traveled there regularly on business..it's like baseball over here..6-7 publications devoted to it..they rate them on class differently over there as you see...they have different rail placements and that's what those letters and numbers mean in the pp lines A,C3 etc ..I think very high quality of horses and much more strictly monitored for drugs and that the horses are in good physical health
I don't think 30-1's that should be 5-1's but some big edges to be had trip watching..sure others do it also as there's just too much money in those pools to not try to gain an edge..I looked at the pools a long way back on tvg..believe that card averaged about $7-8M usd/race in the win pool..going to look at that again on their next card..you could bet $50k win on a 5-1 and the board wouldn't budge lol..point is whales can bet big amounts there and not move the odds..they have some sophisticated capping stuff included in their download
pp's but I never spent time trying to understand them..your trip watching probably just as effective as a lot of that
I look for certain types of slow fade running lines and find in the comments it often says something like "boxed on"..I'm a big fan of gradual* fade run lines as a sign horses are going forward..you would think that's a negative but to me they seem to improve over a large sample..don't want to go to far into that now but I use it here and like to use it even better there* (no speed figures)
