Never play penn national ,unless i'm following up on a horse. first race above #10 brass note ..i've been watching .coming from aqueduct looks like ...a bottom feeder,but there is something fishy about him here ,looking back at some replays and charts ....i might take a nibble....anyone have a thought 10 minutes to post ?

I just read this last night....looks like both BALANCE THE BOOKS and NOBLE TUNE may get a shot on Poly in the coming weeks.

From what I understand many turf horses adapt to the Poly quite well.

I realize that. I was questioning what the poly race would prove as pertained to there possible Derby entrance.

Best guess is they are going to take a shot irrespective of the fact that their horse is bred for the turf. Run in the poly prep races, get enough points and take a shot at the big race. Remember Mine that Bird. Based on speed figures no way he should have won that race.

Its February 1st. Lots of other races on the main track available. Kinda odd they would be pointing to a race in April thats not even on the same surface as the derby but WTFDIK.

Based on the new points system that is in place I guess he figures they are most likely to get the needed points at Keeneland and come to the Derby for the first dirt start.Animal Kingdom and Paddy O Prado esq

Also even though Balance The Books is bred well to turf his sire Lemon Drop Kid won plenty of Grade 1 dirt routes including the Belmont Stakes and Travers as a 3 year old.Then the Brooklyn,Woodward,Suburban , and Whitney.
