made that request yesterday for today.. no problem.. I have a few tracks for tomorrow..In general don't like tracks at the very bottom of the barrel like TuP and hou but for a little fun why not.. I have made picks for these minor tracks before in this thread on occasion.. thanks for the links

wouldn't be a bad time to mention this. double digit odds horses are more likely to run 2nd - 4th rather than win when they run well.. obviously as the odds get higher the chances of a win become less and less. Keying them in 3rd and 4th in supers and tris an excellent strategy IMO. you could do 2nd in exactas also. The triple in this race paid more than double what it should have.. of course when they do win you are mainly using them as a hedge but long haul you'll be cashing a lot more tickets.

So how are you determining who to put in 1-3 for supers if your keying him in 4th? Same question for tris! SA seems to have big horses every race not too often the heavy chalk wins so it's tough to judge. Obviously you need to handicap for 1-3 just wanted to know any tips.

just do it by odds. Ideal situation would be something like this.. 8/5,5/2,7/2 are in the race and you like a 20-1*.Use top 3 in first 3 or 4 spots.. 123/123/*/123 then put * in 4th leg and 123 in 3rd leg. You can economize on top and use only top two
and this will allow you to spread out more underneath. If you want to break odds order and throw in one of your own
do that (even if you just want to add yours in 2nd and 3rd spots). Have to be a little economical somewhere in the early legs.. sure you're * will come in 3rd or 4th and you'll miss but that's part of it. You'll be putting yourself in a good position to cash over the long haul.. It's worked quite well with some of the longer prices I've picked last couple of weeks and the payoffs tend to be overlays relative to the odds

You may want to check out some horse tournament sites to get action if you are not aware of them. There you pick one horse and get credit for win/place. You do not play mutual, rather against other players. Great way to get action, without having to risk a lot of $$. The two I am familiar with are Derby Wars and Horse tourneys. GL.

the triple in that race was about a 30% overlay and not more than double... miscalculated and just wanted to correct that

Jbex remember the golden rule....when playing or betting big odd horses.....we dont need to get fancy........make sure you have a win and a place,,and exacta...wheel all......but the win bet is the most important ....im still learning....am i ever...lol

the problem with that is you miss all the nice payoffs when these horses do what they usually do which is finish underneath.. the bad side of course is when they do win you only have a hedge bet which sucks.. no perfect answer
but the really high odds horse I think definitely the better thing to do

Only long shot possibility that I feel has a chance after going through GP and Tampa is 4-Save The Park 15-1(R10) at Tampa.
