6 point contest. for everyone
Place a $2 W/P bet on every race along with a best bet pick that will be double.Post alternate in case of scratches.If both picks scratch you get the post time fave. Coupled entries, if you do not make it clear you only want one part of entry then you get them both ex 1,1a would be for 1,1a only 1e would be for both 1,1a. All plays must be posted before off time of 1st race. Everyone that is participating in the horse contest will be invited to a sports contest. You must join the sports contest to put your points in the pool. Do not make a sports contest pick. REPEAT DO NOT MAKE A SPORTS CONTEST PICK

The sports contest is set up simply as a way for non pro members to transfer 6 points.Only the winner of the horse contest makes a sports pick.If anyone else makes a pick it screws up the payout process.

Yep last winter when they unveiled a new surface there were about 57 track records the first few days

Yeah they put more sand in it, whereas last year it was a lot of clay .Should slow it down but we'll see.

This 4th race is brutal. Really mediocre field imo

I'm going to stick with my #13 for contest (Bejerano + 2nd drop to maiden claimers), but I'm not confident at all or in any of those horses as it looks like a grab bag race, would love to hear people's reasons to look elsewhere for betting purposes.

I agree that this is a really mediocre field. If the #13 drew inside I would have probably leaned to him, being a Bob Hess horse with Bejerano.

I think the 4 is interesting here, broke a bit slow in his first race, which was a non-grade stakes for 2 year olds. But he took a turn wide and still only lost only 2.5 lenghts between the first call and the finish, which isn't too bad considering his company. And now he'll only have to make 1 turn, not 2 as is the case at fairplex.

He's the son of Repent who was multiple graded stakes winner at two, so clearly he has some pedigree. Although he was sold at $4.2K which didn't even cover the $5K stud fee, so he might not have grown into his pedigree. But I'm expecting a big price on him. I haven't actually decided if I'm going to bet him or not, but since I had to pick for the contest I took him. Just thought I'd share my thoughts.
