    Twenty five years from now

Sadly there will only be a handful of horse racing tracks left in the USA.Casino related corporations are snapping up racetracks because they can turn them into racinos where the state laws allow for such.Slot machines are guaranteed instant money makers.Even with simulcasting widely available, races are simply too far apart & too difficult to handicap to satisfy the huge masses of mindless, carefree degenerate gamblers who need instant gratification that only slot machines can provide.Once the laws eventually no longer force casinos to subsidize racetracks they will happily cut off their lifeline & therefore cause the extinction of many of the remaining racetracks in the nation

its painfully obvious they dont want anyone to know there's horse racing going on (@ chester for instance) 2 escalators going up to the casino, 1 going down to the track. i could go on and on but thats pretty much it in a nutshell

yea, the instant gratification needs of the newer generations drives me nuts. no, we cant wait for you to make something for dinner, we'll go to McDeath instead. who's waiting around for 12 minutes trying to make an educated guess as to who's going to finish where when i can mindlessly drop $ in a slot and hope sheer dumb luck prevails...
oh, and look-they even have a Spongebob slot machine-whooopeee

the only way the tracks allowed the casinos was for them to agree to fund the horseracing... so the horses dont have to be successful
