Race #3 at Indiana Downs was VERY fishy
Someone watch the replay, and without me even saying why, tell me the problem.

I know someone will see it because it's too obvious.

I'm guessing you are suspicious about the jock on the 8 not riding at all in the stretch?

i'm guessing at first she thought maybe the horse was hurting or broken equip or after the drifting in she could have got rattled & misjudged the wire

The horse is drifting in and out because it wants to run and jock is pulling on the reigns

horse was all over the track she was afraid to keep one hand on the reins and try to hit the horse, at least the dq'd her for coming in, there was a race at philly where a horse did the same thing sunday, maybe worse and it stayed up

it looked like the saddle slipped or his left foot came out of the iron... he was almost standing up on him.. theres a million easier ways to short a horse, that aint he way the jocks going to do it

Sorry guys but yes, that's it totally, horse would have won by 2 or 3 lengths easily....I left right after posting this but everyone saw the same thing I did. Strange jump in ML odds from 4/1 all the way up to 20-1.

Im adding to my watch list and will pound next out.

I read your take and it sounds possible but how many coincidences are needed before suspicion is justified?

Does this rider do this a lot?
I don't know of any coincidences. Honestly, if this happens often to this rider, his inability to control horses is going to get someone killed. Also don't know if the rider has the bug. If so, bugs get days all the time for this. Not so much as a punishment as it is to help make them better. What's up with this jock?

I didn't see anything fishy. I went and watched a few other races from that horse and it looks like he's a handful to ride. As STR pointed out, it looks like it was too much for that rider.

she (tamburello) looks to have been over compensating for her horses bearing in but when the horse seems to have straightened out the final 40 yards she did not let go of the reigns.... either lack of confidence on her behalf or something else...... gut feeling and experience tells that a more blatant stiff job would have been a blow 5 wide mid turn then weave back and forth wreckless down the lane... just my 2.5 cents.

Even I would not bet on Ind. A month ago they had a gate malfunction where half the gates did not open at the same time. Instead of declaring the race a no betting affair they scratched half the field after the race was run. They even scratched the horse that finished third.
