Been to GGF Many times.Driving is tough lots of traffic took me 2 hours when i stayed on the SF side.I took the bart to North Berkeley station and took a cab from station to GGF That was a little easier.Love the Track,Only track i Valet Park because the Views of the bay and alcatraz are Spectacular.Love the Clubhouse sitting out in the grandstand and the views of the Oakland Hills.Comment -
I used to go there all the time, and Bay Meadows when it was running. Good price horses on the route races, and very nice scenery.

you will have to wait..it is closing for live racing until sept...i think it will be open for simulcasting, but that can be a tedious journey for that...Comment -

I used to drive from bay meadows to golden gate 4-5 days a week and we would head back to bm just as rush hour started it was sometimes 3 hours to go just 35 miles because of the traffic. Other than that gg is awesome i love the idea of the track right on the bay. The pepole were not as friendly there as they were at bm but we hauled in and i also worked in the test barn at both bm and gg and it was the same. I think it is too bad that they did away with bm it was a very nice track but gg is nice as well just older.:dComment -
