Fillies and no they never run back to back that would be way to extreme for a million dollar horse

The Oaks is the first leg of the filly triple crown.It runs the day before the derby.
No one would ever run in both.
Although I did see King Leatherbury run a horse twice in the same day.
Finished first at Bowie( maybe Laurel) and 2nd at Penn. that night.
That is a story for another day.

That horses name was Kindest Cut.He was a claimer in the 80s at Pimlico.
Larry Saumell is the jockey.He was one of my favorites.

When I got him he was a sprinter. He got him to go long and he won 7 or 8 in a row. That race in the pic was # 5-6 in that streak.

In the Oaks.R Heat Lightning is going to be tough to beat.

R Heat towers over the field, but she is beatable. Kathmanblu is interesting since she ran so well at CD last year. Joyful Victory is going to be the 2nd chalk.

OH WOW!!!!
He was claimed from me when the win streak was snapped and he finished 3rd. I never saw him race again.
He was going for 9 in a row when he got claimed.

Well R Heat Lightning is out of the oaks with a knee problem.That leaves this race wide open although I think I have my horse nailed down just have to wait for posts to be drawn

can't wait last year got the winner and 2nd would have made a lot more had the 2nd place horse won!oh well nipped at the wire.....
