Race 12 #5 Proven Lover 7/2 ML

I played this horse last week and he got shuffled to oblivion ... The lines say he was 9th, 4 1/2 back at the top of the stretch and lost by a neck ... He was at least 10 back and the race caller said he was airborne ... The ML favorite tonight in that race is the horse that wired the field last week in the same race ... Watch the replay.

Oh well, I guess this horse was no secret ... Wins by a nose and pays 4.80 ... Ugh.

I played this horse early in the evening 300WP and a 50 DBL with the #1 in the last race as I was going out ... I was hoping for a 6-8 payoff but that was not to be ... Playing favorites at the Meadowlands is an exercise in stupidity.

One can argue that there is value in any ticket you cash ... If I was around for this race I would have bet this horse 50 max to win as he was on my watch list ... Other than that I would have just played the DBL.

The horse paid 4.80 and 3.00 to place ... The double was a winner at 17.20.
