Thanks Ultimate. Win or lose these things are a RUSH! Last year I missed with a 19/1 shot who while finishing second in a photo had she got there I get all the candy. I cashed for a grand and now I'm back again.
At this point I have an idea of horses I may play using basic handicapping. But there is a lot of luck involved. I'm review some tapes and looking for any track bias's at this time.

Gulfstream Race 7 On paper I like the 4 Moral Compass because of the rider / trainer combo. Coa is a very high % turf rider. The 8 Sporting Art has a good form line and may be better than this field with minor improvemnt. #5 Cherokee Focus could be a longshot play, the 1 and 3 also get looks . I will most likely use one of these horses. I'll try to beat the 1.

Gulfstream Race 8 #2 Yes Master has a shot to go wire to wire. #3 Kapazunder has a big number and will get bet.Will try to beat #5 Communicated who beat only one horse in his last.

Santa Anita Race 4 On paper its a three horse race #2 Seven Secrets - has the speed, #4 Brooker - Troubled trip in last, #9 Kingdom Come - finished strongly in last .Will try to beat the #1. Anything else would surprise.
Contest notes Finished out of the $ with a longhot in the second event at gulfstream

Florida Derby is next. To win contests you need to find the longshots. IN this race I'm on the #2 Smooth Air 20/1. Elysuim Fields is the one to beat.

One the board with the fav at Santa Anita at 4/5 Final contest race at Gulfstream is rather an easy choice . #5 Vorhee's Ballard has the best numbers and is 10/1.

He went a little wide turning for home. I wish he would of got 2nd. had him $20 across. Paid 14.80 to show. Picked up a few dollars.Watch for this horse next time. I got him in my stable alert

Contest Summary : Thezbar caught one $15.80 winner on Sunday and will finish out of the $ in this one. At one point I thought I had a shot but I couldn't come up with the $58.00 winner Tricky Viviana as I used a different longshot in that race. Whoever did is most likely $20,000 richer at this time. My loss here from a betting win/loss ratio is about $120.00. I done better in the past, still I have no regrets and would take a shot any time with a free roll.
I wish xpressbet would have posted the standings after the first day like the did last year. It makes did easier to plan out the proper tactics to use in the given situation. For a big contest that seemed bush league.
Thezbar is in play mode and goes again Thursday in Vegas. The Championship at the Orleans has 50 free spots available to the 2009 Horse racing world Series contest up for grabs.In this contest unlike the Xpressbet one,the player can chose races of their preference and not forced into manitory bets

. I can focus on my strengths as a handicapper and won't be forced into races that I have no business getting involved with in the first place.
