Meadowlands handicapping challenge to start Jan. 14 Tuesday, January 11, 2011 - by Amy Silver, publicity director, Meadowlands Racetrack
Cash prizes and a seat in the National Harness Handicapping Championship are up for grabs in Meadowlands Racetrack's Winter Survival Challenge, a free online handicapping competition that begins Friday, Jan. 14.
Fans can enroll in the game at www.WinterSurvivalChallenge.com. During the challenge, "survivors" build mythical bankrolls based on $2 "across the board" wagers [win, place and show] on their picks in three designated races each day. One of those picks must finish in the money each day for players to continue in the game. The winner is determined by the highest total bankroll on the last night of the game, Saturday, March 26.
The grand prize is $1,200 cash plus an $800 entry into the 2011 National Harness Handicapping Championship at the Meadowlands. Cash prizes are also awarded for second ($1,000) and third place ($500).
The deadline for selections each day is 30 minutes before first race post time (7:00 p.m. Thursday-Saturday). The contest is open to legal residents of the United States and Canada, and all selections must be made through the Survival Challenge web site. Free past performances for the three designated races each day are provided through the game board.
I'll have to look and see whose running later. Might be a 413 nightday

Monticello
4/13 in all 13 for $13
Yesterday #3 in the 10th was a loser......
Today the #4 is 4-1 or less in 12 races so if they race today the payouts won't pay our rent.....

They won't be celebrating in the Windy City tonight.......
Bears had their chance to keep the Packers out of the playoffs a few weeks ago........
Packers 24-17
Stealers also had a chance a few months ago........
Jets 27-24
I'll try 4/136 tri-keys for $30 @ Balmoral

Wondered where he was last night.
Oosting jailed on domestic battery charges Monday, January 24, 2011 - by John Pawlak, the U.S. Trotting Association
Mike Oosting, a perennial leading driver at Chicago’s harness racetracks, is being held in the Will County (Ill.) Adult Detention Facility in Joliet, Ill., following charges of domestic battery.
Ooosting, at last report, was being held without bail after being arrested in Crete Township, Ill on Sunday and will reportedly appear in court on Monday.Oosting has won more than 4,400 races in his career, driven the winners of nearly $28 million and has won six consecutive Balmoral Park driving titles.
Hit both totals on games yesterday and a couple triples boxed to break even. I'll do 4-1-3 straight in all at Pompano and hope for another January 3rd bomb

Hoping to get 2 or 3 on top today and maybe the others will follow.......
Had exacta-box 37 @ Woodbine last night and have a few bucks in the account so I'll use 413 straight and add...
another walter case jr.scenario, looks like.betting bad ice cubes is at the bottom of it all.speaking of case jr,rumors are out that he might get o.k.'d for driving duties at the meadowlands.anyone else hear about this?

Sometimes we get what we hope for....... Didn't use the 4 in the last @ Pompno in my triple but hit the exacta boxed 148. Should've did a tri-box for $3 and cashed a $350 ticket??????
On we go with or without Oosting Prefer the latter......

yes, we need walter case jr. back in the bike somewhere. he's not as despicable as michael vick and they let him back. just because he stabbed a nagging wife isn't a major infraction to not allow him to drive. vick actually killed living beings, albeit dogs but nevertheless they couldn't fight back.

Nice....... He hd the 2nd also then had the 7th triple #'s if you used them all as well as the 9th exacta combo. My gut tells me to take the money and get a pair of eye glasses!
