$40 Handicapping Contest, held every Friday, Saturday & Sunday of the 2010-2011 Santa Anita meet. To enter, visit the Main Throughbreds Center.

    1. Player’s Bankroll: This is a “real money” Handicapping Tournament. A $10 entry fee and a $30 live money-wagering card. (Total cost to enter =$40). At the conclusion of the contest, any dollar amount remaining on the wagering card remains the property of the player.

    2. To Enter: You need a $10 entry fee and a $30 betting voucher for each entry. Total cost for each entry is $40. You may purchase a maximum of 2 entries per contest. Should a person enter a contest more than twice: he/she shall be disqualified from prize money for that contest. Contestants loading more than $30 onto their card will be disqualified. Contestants must also load exactly $30 onto the contest card before their first wager is made, or they will be disqualified from any prize money.

Players may enter the contest once the gates open. No entries may be taken after 15 minutes to post for the 4th race in an 8 race card, 5th race in a 9 race card, 6th race in a 10 race card and so on. A contestant may be asked to provide a photo id to determine age and/or identity.

    3. Format:

You must make $3 Win / Place wagers on one (1) horse in five (5) live Santa Anita Races for a total of $30 wagered. No more than $3 Win/Place shall be played on any one (1) horse. The player with the highest bankroll at the end of the contest will be declared the winner, the 2nd highest bankroll will receive the second place prize and the 3rd highest bankroll will receive the third prize. The end of the contest will be the final live Santa Anita race of the day.

You must play only one (1) horse in five (5) different live Santa Anita Races, playing more or less than five (5) horses will result in disqualification. Should a player be disqualified, he/she will have their card balance refunded. Entry fees are non-refundable. Players may play any five (5)live Santa Anita races that day of their choice.

Players will not be able to cash out their wagering card until after the final live Santa Anita race becomes official. Should player cash out his/her card before the last live Santa Anita Race, that player’s entry will be disqualified from any prize money.

    4. Prizes

Players keep all winnings plus a $500 daily prize for the highest final bankroll, $200 will go to the 2nd highest bankroll and $100 to the 3rd largest bankroll.

Each daily winner will also qualify for the finals on to be held on Friday, April 15th, Saturday April 16th and Sunday April 17th. There will be three (3) separate finals. This is the only reason I drive 50 miles to be ontrack. Good contest, good value for your buck. Now if I can ever go on the right day. I've cashed third and missed first by a nose in the past. The Beat the Host contest with xpressbet bet is another good contest. I won a free roll into the horse racing world series last year. That happens in on Saturdays during January and February.

I'm like 2 hours away but this contest looks good. Hoping Del Mar gets the Oak Tree meet in 2011.

Santa Anita's card tomorrow is awesome; gonna have to watch football from the casino.

Tournament play is even more exciting than regular play.

i was thinking about going maybe on thursday, but might wait a couple of weeks. delmar is having a tournament every saturday. when i decide to go i will use your picks for either the first or second tournament if you like.
if i win with your picks . 10 percent of the winnings will be given to the "LORD". and we will each take 45 percent each.
