Since this horse was the ml favorite and went off at 2/1 well I decided to go against my method of betting horses .... I bet w/p on this horse, I expected this horse to go off at 6/5 . My method of betting horses normally is to bet 20 to win / 50 to place / 120 to show on horses that I think will go off at 2/1 or better . This method of betting is a good as any, and better than most .
The horse ran 3rd and paid 3.80 to show ..... I blew 70.00 and all I can say is that if I ever bet a horse that I think will go off at 2/1 or better I'll be betting the show ..... of course you need to always keep an eye on the tote board , if a horse gets over bet on the show then it would be senseless to bet the show.
