sloppy tracks favor speed horses.they are not sinking into the slop,but skimming along instead.aformer trainer told me he believes that young horses love the slop.they like the noise they make when they jump on puddles.i'm not a horse,(horses ass,maybe)so,i don't really know.muddy tracks,however, is when they are severely compromised.knowing the breeding lines can be helpful in coming up with acontender under these conditions.

I can't cap sloppy tracks .... for a few years there I thought I could .. but my numbers showed me that I had no idea what I was doing in reality .... I generally eek out a small profit backing horses ... but give me a bit of rain and my angles fall apart.

I have learned the hard way that the only way for me to win on slop .. is to not play.
