#107How about in the 7th at Calder we try a line up ticket, 3-2 or 2-3 right around the track.
A very tough race to cap, I won't be getting heavily involved here.Comment -

#108Joey, my friend is doing better but he has a long ways to go though. Your friend here sounds like a good person. I hope he comes next year to the bash. Maybe we will hit some big races so we will have fun at the bash next year also. My buddy downstairs from me is wanting to go next year also. I will let him know when it will be so he can be ready for it. I sure would like for sbr to have a horse racing contest next year.Comment -

#109What's up Blue? I haven't seen or heard from Joe today, I'm guessing he's busy with medical or he's slaving over the stove, although normally when he cooks he still pops in here, I'm guessing medical.Comment -

#111The finale from Calder, I'll try the #7 Omi's Vindication trained by Dave Fawkes, he is lightly raced and returning from a long layoff with a string of plow horse workouts, but he showed speed in both of the earlier starts, trust Fawkes to have this one ready.
Piloted today by a high % rider.
Good luckComment -

#112Omi came up a little bit short, the tussle early with the #2 was just enough to keep him from getting his picture taken.
That's it for today, time now for some poker, see you all in a day or two.
Good luck.Comment -

#114The 5th at philly on Tuesday, look for one of these horses to try and steal it on the front, probably the #5 Lemony Fresh, she looks like the speed of the speed, of course if challenged she may wilt going 7 furlongs, although she has raced with better and that bodes well for her.
Also look for the #6 Fortescue dropping from straight special weights to be involved.
And the #7 Major Dixie could be ready now, second start off the layoff.
Good luckComment -

#121I won't go against Joe and the #2 in the 9th from philly, so that being said, lets see if the #2 can stalk the #4 and #6 into the stretch and run them down at the wire.
Good luck

#122In the tenth from philly I'll give the #9 Emotional a chance to win, although it should be noted that with a record of 23 starts, 1 win, 7 seconds and 6 thirds this horse is a better candidate for filling out the exacta or triple.

#124It looks like all the tracks are starting early today, I would like to throw out a possible spot play at the Fairgrounds, in the 4th race Dr.Alex, I have this horse noted from his starts at Keenland.
Perhaps the move south and the change from an all weather track to a dirt track will be enough to get him a win today, worth a closer look.Comment -

#125The 1st from Churchill today is a bad spot to get heavily involved, I'll use several and look to get alive in a double or pick three.
I'll use #4, #6, #7 and #10 in the 1st race based somewhat on class and trainers and riders.
In the 2nd race I'll use #3 and #9 based on current form and workouts.
In the 3rd race I'll use the #3 who showed good speed in the return race after a layoff, I'll also use the #7 a horse who is in the claiming ranks for the first time.
I'll also use the #9 a horse who shortens in distance while dropping in class.
The pick3 ticket will read, 4,6,7,10 with 3,9 with 3,7,9.
The site I use allows me to play .50 cent tickets, the above bet cost me 12.00$ total.

#134Good morning, today a spot play in the 9th at the Fairgrounds.
Lets take a closer look at #4 Finest Cat, the first item of note should be that the "Cat" is a 5 year old who today will be facing a field of horses that are all 2 years his younger (3 year olds).
Next note that the Cat is one race back from a layoff, in the first start back the Cat earned an 87 speed rating while racing forwardly at a distance of 7 furlongs, note today the turnback to 6 furlongs. Normally when horses shorten up a furlong under similar circumstances their speed ratings will increase 5-10 points, if this holds true here it can be expected that the Cat will run a number in the mid to high 90's, a number easily good enough to beat his rivals.
Also note the comment from the Cats last race, "2w; in tight; taken up".
All added together the Cat looks like a good bet today, fair odds should be around 3-1, I wouldn't accept less than 2-1 unless I was trying to hit some kind of gimmick.
If the race unfolds as expected, that is to say that if one of the others don't throw up some freaky number, and if the Cat runs his race, he should be tough to beat.
The link to the past performances is below.

good morning oily,i looked at the race and i like the turn back angle here too. After further looking at the charts i kinda like the #8 jedediah and throwing out his last at lousiana downs. I think he and the cat will be up front with the #1 perilous crossing coming late and i think it could end up either 8-1-4 or 8-4-1 just my thoughts, could be wrong maybe the 4 gets loose and never looks back maybe a good play is to box the 1-4-8?
If theres a 10 cent super, maybe box the 1-2-4-8
good luck to you and hope these numbers hit todayComment -

#139Today (2/10/11) in the first at Laurel, a maiden claimer, look for class drops and competent trainers and riders, the three outside horses seem to be contenders(4,5,6), the #6 takes the biggest drop and should be the play, demand odds of 4-1 or greater to help offset variance.

#140Today, 2/10/11 @ the Fairgrounds, in the 6th race, the #2 Tap N Away drops from MSW's into a claimer, not a best bet because of anticipated short odds, but a good starting point for those who play gimmicks.
Good luck
I see they scratched out, I just don't have the time it takes to double check everything and still post, sorry.Comment
