State of California Assembly Bill #649, today increases the minimum wage for losing jockeys by $10.00, from $50.00 to $60.00 they will now make for riding each race @ thoroughbred and quarter horse tracks.

the truly bad jockey's race maybe 5 times a week. When my cousin was riding at woodbine I doubt she got more mounts than that. She usually picked up an equal number at fort erie when they raced there.
