Pfft ... happens in UK/IRE from time to time above that.

Keep an eye on BetFair on the UK/IRE races ... recently one traded 999/1 IR and romped in.

Or, the opposite side of things, check out this site which highlights those that traded at 1.01 and lost.

Did that many people do the 7/ALL double...they must have been pissed expecting a huge payout, still doesn't make sense

only thing would make sense was a lump on 7/* or 7/ALL

odds on 1st leg horse must have been no higher than 2/3 or 7/10

$19,000 in the DD pool, means about 100 winning DD tickets after the take. Thats a lot of people using 7-all, but it is believable with a $3 horse winning the prior race.

Did I read the table right that the winner on the super must have been only a $0.50 bet ? Super Pool was only half the 143k figure.

Even more shocking was the 1.2 million dollars placed on Rachel Alexandra to show at Monmouth on Saturday.......... That is a lot of bridge jumpers. Harvey Pack used to say that if you want a guaranteed 5% on your money, but a mutual fund -- they won't make you run around the block for it.

Monmouth has some of the highest handle this year. Breaking records left and right with huge fields running for huge purses.

this horse was preceeded by a 3/5 shot in a 5 horse race.. The double paying less than a huge price happens actually fairly often, if its preceeded by a chalky, dominate favorite..
