tblues,you're in luck. del mar site has a daily contest. you pick awinner from the race of the the day that they choose.you will get pp's
from brisnet and trackmaster for the contest race. also site has several handicapping picks available to you.(brad free etc.).
go to calracing.com,click onto racing information,then scroll down to househandicapping,click it. now youget a screen with track logos.
click on delmar,then click on contest.(center bar,mid screen).establish user name and pword.you're all set.

I read somewhere that a lot of owners were weary of running their horses over the track because the surface is old and outdated.

del monkey(del mar) has no horses so big fields will be scarce. however they're post times are more condusive for east coast bettors. especially that friday nite 7:00 eastern. those 5:00 posts last until 10pm eastern filling that gap for east coast quality thoroughbred punters. their synthetic surface is not as sound as other so cal tracks so beware of slipping and sliding horses on turns.

the surface is a joke and the del mar meet will never be the same until they get rid of that trashy surface.. In fact, Cali racing is in big danger if they dont rehaul some things

Del Mar has a VERY TOUGH contest because you go NEGATIVE on your bankroll & can only bet 100/day even when you are up.

im talking about the live contest you pay $50 to get into where you make $20 wps bets and highrst money wins the dough 1st place

If you REALLY like a longshot on a particular day, DIME-A-DAY with Xpressbet is SWEEET. You can win an extra $1k if your horse pays the most that day, & if more than one person has it they just split it up.

Guys thanks a lot for the information. I signed up the contest for the one race a day for the meet. I love it. On top of that it is free also. I am sure looking forward to it starting tomorrow. I always enjoy Del Mar. The only problem is it does not go long enough. I wish it went until the end of Sept. I don't do well at Fairplex or Oak Tree. I seem to do very well at Hollywood and Del Mar in the summer months. I think it has to do with the weather out there and they are racing for some money sure makes a difference.
