That works out to a mere 13.6-1 and that's before the healthy taxes; never been a fan of pooling your money with hundreds of others.

Those pooled money syndicate's are like airplanes. You only hear about the one's that hit something.
I know guys that have been somewhat successful over a long period of time doing that but they are very sharp and pick there spots carefully.Really depends on who is driving the bus .
Always enjoyed the feeling of making my own selections and the satisfaction you get when you are right.
