What's with all the tracks having to get foreigners these days to call races?Are there any americans that call races in England and Australia?We have Paul Allen at Canterbury Park in Minnesota calling races and he reminds me of the late comedian Paul Linde calling races.Kind of a snotty voice.He's the play by play guy fo the Vikings and has a show on KFAN too.Darrin Dunn at Assiniboia Downs in Winnipeg,Manitoba is pretty good but he will never move on to a bigger track because he wears alot of hats at Assiniboia.

Got to stick up for the Brits here - Mark Johnson calling at Churchill Downs is the best in the business.
He is the only man in the history of racing to call The Derby, The Grand National, the big Cheltenham National Hunt Festival races and the Kentucky Derby.
If racecourses book you to call those races - you've got some CV and you are the dogs bollocks !

yea Bothe was ousted at the Mlands when he refused to post selections for the races because he had a gambling problem.. I used to like Matt Hook when he did Great Lakes, , he said once during a race that a 1-5 fave was beaten, if you have the favorite, head to the bar and get a stiff drinkComment -
Denman and Durkin are my two favorites.
Denman calls a race like the money you have riding on it feels like it will put you in the next highest tax bracket if you win.
Durkin is entertaining and can come up with some creative stuff.Comment -
