why the hell isnt lookin @ lucky running in the Belmont stakes? is it because he won by such a small margin and would have lost had the track been longer?

Well, if what you are positing is true, then it would be good business to protect his stud value by not subjecting him to a high-profile loss.

Breeding industry doesn't care that much about the ability to run 1 1/2 miles. Its about speed. The Belmont stakes is an after thought if the triple crown is not involved. It won't even be the best race on that days card. Its a smart move for Lucky to wait and choice a better spot for this next race.

the belmont is nothing to get excited over since their is no triple crown contender......it's a bust in New York this year,, pony up some cash gov patterson, only 17 mill to start.....
