$8000 maiden claimer. Doesn't get much lower than that.

Anyone could win that one, General!

The takeout at Tampa Downs makes playing there very hard.

I will never forget when The General made the top 15 top horseracing handicappers list back in 2005, Pete I guess you are not involved in it much anymore.

This race, Whatta ya say? The horse was fed to good this morning.

He looked good down the back stretch.

Not nearly as involved, JJ. Needed to take a break for awhile and try other things, which all failed.

Sorry Archie, the horse gave out badly and looked to fat to be on the track. Lost easily. Not close.

I can only speak for me, but can give a broad general opinion for others as well. I bet on ponies because my grandfather and his friends owned horses (several family trained) and I grew up around it, betting on horses at 8 years old down at Keeneland Park. I think a general opinion that horses is just a form of gambling which can be a cheap investment with good return(s) and fast paced, almost constant action all day is a reason for many to wager on horses round the world. Going to the track with your friends, family, children, etc... and spending the day relatively inexpensive for a fun filled day is a great time for me.

Unraveling the form of every race is like playing a chess match against a grand master .. there is no better feeling in the world than watching a race unfold exactly how you predicted it would from your interpretation of the form ....
