Asmussen makes it sound like Rachel isn't 100% yet. May be a good 'bet against' this weekend; you know they don't want to punish her first time out. I think if they can win easy, they will. If not, they might wrap her up early.

Might even be a good opportunity to fuk over some bridgejumpers, if they allow show betting. I think there's only 5 horses in the race, so there may be no show betting.

They both win.

No media coverage at all.

Racing is really in a sad state of affairs when these 2 races aren't even being talked about on media outlets like ESPN.The Edwards NASCAR intentional crackup is getting all the coverage and NASCAR is suffering a downturn but nothing like horse racing is.I look at alot of tracks results and the exotics handles are so small that the entire cards 9 or 10 trifectas with full fields never pay ove $100.I remember 30 years ago when I went to small greyhound tracks where the trifectas were mostly over $500 with 8 dog in the field.

the two weeks I travel out of the country is the time they decide to race .... is it worth phoning my wife and trying to walk her through the setting up of my slingbx ... or should I just give up before i even start and save myself several hours of frustration.

Haha, you make a good point there. I just get concerned because that kind of weight difference is worth at least several lengths to the others. Zenyatta did similar last year in a race she carried 129 pounds and spotted the field similar handicap.

thinking Rachel has the better chance of losing today with that long stretch of Fair Grounds. Look at her woodward, Macho Again almost got her with the long stretch of Belmont, and she isnt really training too hard

I agree it wouldnt surprise me if Rachel got beat, im not a Mike Smith guy either but he hasnt screwed up Zenyatta yet.. also wouldnt surprise me if one got beat and backed out of the Apple Blossom, hope that doesnt happen
