Looking at the late Pick 3, but my picks are all going to be chalk, so not playing that much.

Race 7: Smart and Fancy. Won last out at Delaware, and looks tough to beat here.

Race 8: Chief's Lake. Connections are going for $250,000 bonus if this guy wins his 3rd straight today. Incredibly, I've bet him all 8 times he's run. 5 wins, 1 second, 1 third and one off the board. First time going 1 1/8 but horse always runs hard.

Race 9: One in a Romp. Jerkens having a slow meet (1-for-16) and this guy goes back to the turf. Not much speed in the race and he's a closer, so price will have to right.

I threw Jazzy in my exacta box with Smart and Fancy and the chalk looks like a winner in deep stretch only to get nipped on the wire for the win and place, and I miss the exacta.

Did include Jazzy in my Pick 3 with Chief's Lake and One in a Romp, so hoping to at least get to the 9th with a shot if Chief's Lake wins the 8th.

Crash and burned with another chalk, although I had to play Chief's Lake. Didn't like the 3, who had been running second and third too often. Of course, he airs today.

Chief's Lake was a question going that distance, but I had to play him since he's won some races at decent prices for me. But even money was a bad bet, but sometimes you gotta stick with the horses who have won for you before.

Did you get the three with race 8? Nice! I would have played Chief's Lake also but i missed the post time.

Yeah that's how I felt with Lava Man last weekend. Too bad he didnt even show...looks like he gave up towards the end.
